Cancellation & Refund Policy

Micah Hill Roofing

Effective Date: February 1, 2026

At Micah Hill Roofing, we value transparency and fairness in all of our agreements. This Cancellation & Refund Policy outlines your rights under Texas law and our company’s cancellation terms.

1. 72-Hour Right of Rescission (Texas Law)

Under Texas Property Code § 601 (Home Solicitation Sales Act), homeowners may have the right to cancel certain residential roofing contracts within three (3) business days (72 hours) after signing the agreement.

If you cancel your contract within this 72-hour period:

  • You must submit written notice of cancellation within the allowed timeframe.
  • Cancellation must be delivered in person, by mail, or by email to the contact information provided in your agreement.
  • The cancellation is effective upon sending (if mailed, based on postmark date).

2. Cancellation Fees (Within 72-Hour Right of Rescission)

If a customer elects to cancel the agreement within the 72-hour rescission period, the following charges will apply:

  • A 4% processing fee of the total contract amount, and
  • A flat $750 administrative cancellation charge

These charges cover administrative costs, processing fees, scheduling, documentation preparation, and related expenses incurred upon contract execution.

Any remaining balance paid by the customer will be refunded after deducting the above fees.

Refunds will be issued within 10–15 business days of receiving written cancellation notice.

3. Cancellations After 72 Hours

If cancellation occurs after the 72-hour rescission period, the customer may be responsible for:

  • The 4% processing fee
  • The $750 administrative cancellation charge
  • Any costs already incurred, including but not limited to:
    • Materials ordered
    • Labor scheduled or performed
    • Permit fees
    • Engineering or inspection costs
    • Special-order materials
    • Restocking fees

If materials have already been ordered or delivered, additional supplier restocking fees may apply.

4. Non-Refundable Deposits

If a deposit has been used to:

  • Order materials
  • Secure permits
  • Pay engineering or specialty services

Those amounts may be non-refundable if cancellation occurs after such costs have been incurred.

5. Method of Refund

Approved refunds will be issued using the original method of payment unless otherwise agreed in writing.
